Terms and Conditions

This Event is not a race.

 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

You must hold a current valid driver’s licence and a valid passport, and you must be over the age of 18 years.

You must not compete with other drivers in any manner. In particular, you must not race with other drivers. You must not place any bets of any kind in relation to the event. You must drive safely and with proper courtesy to all other participants and members of the public.

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations whilst in the states visited. Including without limit, appropriate laws of the road, the laws relating to the roadworthiness of your vehicle and the laws relating to the possession, or importation of prohibited substances, illegal immigrants, goods or offensive weapons of any kind. If you are refused passage and/or entry/exit to or from any state visited en route, any additional cost incurred is your own responsibility.

Please note that ANYONE caught racing on the public highway in any state on route, will be excluded from further participation in the event immediately. No refunds will be made, and all privileges will be withdrawn (i.e.. hotels and entry to parties).

You must conduct yourself appropriately at all times bearing in mind the rules of the hotels and other venues used during the event.

You must not drive at any time whilst under the influence of alcohol or any other intoxicating substances. You must not consume any illegal intoxicating substance at any time.

You will be refused further participation in the event if you violate any of the above rules or refuse to follow the instructions given to you during the event by the organizers. In such cases no refund will be given.

 

THE EVENT

Entry into Cannonball Run World Events , Morocco 2 Monaco French Riviera Edition will be granted to those participants who have returned a signed, completed entry form and waiver with the appropriate entry fee and have received a payment receipt from the Organizers. The organizers reserve the right to refuse any application for entry without giving any reason. The entry fee into the event does not include personal acquisitions, petrol (gas), telephone bills or other expenses and disbursements incurred while staying in the hotel (including courier/postal charges relating to sending left luggage with you), fines of any sort, or damage caused at any venue visited, which you will be responsible for paying to the organizer in addition to the entry fee within (30) days of receipt of an invoice from the organizer. The organizers reserve the right to change the location of the starting grid at any time. The Event Director’s decision is final in any dispute or discussion.

 

PAYMENT / CANCELLATION

A deposit of 50% of the total invoice of entry is required to hold a place with the remaining 50% deposit due within 90 days prior to event. Late payments will incur an administration charge of Five Hundred Euros, cancellation of the booking or refusal to the event without refund.   Paypal payments will incur a 5% surcharge. Please contact the organizers for bank details if you wish to send a direct wire transfer. Direct credit card payments will incur a 3% surcharge (5% for American Express) and will be debited in Euros  using the exchange rate on the day.  The organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event or any part thereof should circumstances arise. If it proves necessary for us to cancel the event, a full and immediate refund will be issued or where possible an alternative date offered. In the event of a natural disaster, flood, fire, strike, other acts of God, outbreak of civil war, or circumstances out of our control, the company will not be responsible for the refund of the entry fee. After the commencement of the event the organizer will not make any refund of the entry fee or pay compensation to you if you are unable to continue in the event for any reason whatsoever.  The organizers reserve the right to refuse participation in or to cancel the event at any time for any reason whatsoever (without being obliged to disclose the reason).  In case of refusal to allow you to participate, no refunds of the entry fee will be made. The route of the event is very demanding.  If you do not manage to complete any part of the route and are unable to stay at the provided venues you will not be entitled to any refund of the entry fee whatsoever.  Upon entering the event venues are hired and dropping out does not entitle you to any compensation regardless of circumstance.  If you decide to cancel your entry then written confirmation must be sent by the person who has signed the entry form. Cancellations received before 31 March 2018 will result in the loss of the deposit paid. Cancellations received after this date will result in the loss of the full entry fee.  

 

INSURANCE / LIABILITY

Participants are responsible for ensuring that vehicles used in the event are properly licensed and insured for use on the public highways in all states detailed in the itinerary.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have third party insurance coverage for the whole event.

You must confirm that you have obtained appropriate insurance for your participation and supply copies, including without limit, life insurance, personal injury and third party insurance, and insurance of your vehicle and your other possessions.

Travel insurance is not included in the entry fee.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have mechanical breakdown recovery insurance for their participation in the event which covers all states detailed in the itinerary. The organizers accept no responsibility for impoundment of vehicles or arrest of participants regardless of circumstance.

The organizers decline liability in any accident caused by or to participants and their vehicles during the whole of the event. The organizers also decline any liability for any breach of the laws and regulations of any state detailed in the itinerary. Participants shall be held responsible for any accident or breach of the laws in which they may be involved and shall declare to the organizers particulars of any such incident from which liability may arise and shall have no claim against the organizers arising out of any act or omission of the organizers, their servants, agents or officials during the course of the event.  The organizers decline any responsibility from any services or products offered or supplied by third party companies.

Cannonball Run World Events is covered by $500,000 Tour Operators Insurance and $4,000,000 Public Liability Insurance.

 

PROMOTION

Each entry must agree to have the Cannonball Run World Events logo and official sponsor stickers attached to their vehicles in the specified positions for the whole duration of the journey. Stickers are non-permanent and easily removable without damaging paintwork. Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC.  will not accept claims for damage to paint.

Personal sponsorship and/or for an entrants vehicle is not permitted without Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC.  prior written consent.  The organizers reserve the right to refuse 'unauthorised' sponsored vehicles or individuals' entry to the event.

Participation in the event will denote consent to be photographed and to participate in the filming of footage documenting the Cannonball Run World Events of 2018.. You hereby grant Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC.  permission to utilise and exploit your appearance in any and all manner and media throughout the world in perpetuity. You further agree that we have the sole discretion as to whether any footage in which you appear is actually used by us, and that if we do use such footage it may be edited at our sole discretion. You consent to the use of your  name, likeness, voice and biographical material about you in connection with footage, publicity and related institutional promotional purposes. You expressly release Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC. , its directors, agents, employees, licensees and assigns from and against any and all claims which you have or may have for invasion of privacy, defamation or any other cause of action arising out of production, distribution, broadcast or exhibition of footage. All photographs and footage arising from The Cannonball Run Event and all copyright in those photographs and footage will remain the property of Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC.

Entrants agree to their personal details being given to external companies for use as Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC. sees fit.

 

MEDICAL RESTRICTIONS

You will be driving in varied conditions and in changing climates, often for (very) long periods. If you have any medical conditions, which could be adversely affected by strenuous exercise or are in any doubts about your health, or taking any medication, you must get clearance from your doctors before returning the application form. Although you may be fit to take part, there may be relevant medical information about which we should know e.g. allergic reactions, diabetes, epilepsy etc. It is important that we know about any potential problems.

 

HOTELS

Hotels, were included as part of the entry fee, are offered subject to availability. The organizers reserve the right to alter hotel accommodations to that of an equivalent grade where necessary.

 

SURCHARGES

The organizers reserve the right to apply a surcharge where currency fluctuations or other circumstances beyond our control deem this necessary.  

 

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Participants are responsible for ensuring that all travel documents required eg. passports, visas are valid and effective.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS AND WAIVER

The organizers reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time subject to notifying you of the changes.  You shall be deemed to have accepted the amended terms and conditions by participating in the event.

 

By participation in this event, made under the arrangements of Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC. , I acknowledge the danger of any adventure travel activity, including but not limited to: Dangers in general road driving, driving on private roads and race tracks, travelling along mountainous roads, high altitude, forces of nature, civil unrest, terrorism, travel across water by hovercraft, ferry or similar, accident or illness without means for rapid evacuation or medical facilities.

 

I understand that in the event of my suffering any personal injury or death (other than personal injury or death caused by negligence) or any damage being caused to any property of mine that I will not bring any action or other proceedings against Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC. , its directors, agents, employees, licensees or assigns, the event sponsors, or any company or persons associated with Cannonball Run World Events of 2018.

 

I agree to comply with all of the events terms and conditions of entry.  I acknowledge and understand that the organiser of the event will use reasonable efforts to ensure that all other participants abide by the terms and conditions of entry, but cannot guarantee that the participants will abide by these terms and conditions.

 

I indemnify Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC. , its directors, agents, employees, licensees and assigns, and the event sponsor from all claims, demands, or expenses as a result of my breaching these conditions, my negligence or otherwise arising out of my participation in the event.

 

I acknowledge that there exists inherent risks in participating in an event such as The Cannonball Run World Events of 2018. Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC.  will use its reasonable means to ensure that the other participants abide by these rules, but cannot guarantee that this will be done. Except for death or personal injury caused by negligence, which is not excluded or limited by anything in these Terms and Conditions of Entry, Arnoux-Prost Racing International, INC. , its officers and employees exclude all liability in relation to your participation in the event.

 

These rules and your participation in the event are governed by European law, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the European courts.
